And so it ends

Oh well, the streak died tonight,we held up our part of the bargain Dan came by, brought the slurpees, but the Pistons didn't keep their end.

game 2

I turned the game on after Yom Tov,early 3rd quarter, and the Pistons were down 12 points. They quickly trimmed the lead down to 1, and eventually took the lead.

Dan didn't make it tonight, Nat took his place - and we did get Slurpees - and the Pistons went on to win the game.

I learned that I was wrong about teh schedule, apparently the NBA was scared of Americna Idol, so there was no game last night, when the Pistons should have played - and the next Pistons game in Sunday night. I guess they aren't scared of the Simpsons and Family Guy (probably because it's in reruns)

The streak lives on

Dan came over last, sans a slurpee, and the Pistons just barely hung on to beat the Cavs. Seems like just me and Dan are good enough for a win, but the Slurpees add about 10 points to the Pistons total.

This does make me a little nervous since We will miss the next two games.

Could it be me?

I'm not normally a superstitious person but even I couldn't ignore what's been going on in the past week. Pistons vs. Bulls game 2 - my buddy Dan comes over to watch the game and he brings a Slurpee. The Pistons go on to win the game, same thing for game 3. Game 4 was supposed to be a cakewalk, it also happened to be Sunday in the middle of the afternoon and Mothers Day. I had places to be and things to do and the Pistons lost. Game 5 a few hours before tip-off I got a call from a friend, he had an extra ticket did I want to go. I went and the Pistons got slaughtered.

Game 6 - I called Dan and asked if he wanted to come over for the game, he said he would come. The game starts, Dan isn't here, at the half the Pistons are down 5. I call to find out where Dan is, he says he is on his way, did I want a Slurpee? Even though I had a slurpee earlier in teh day, I accepted his offer. He shows up at the start of the third and the Pistons go on a 12-1 run on their way to a victory.

Individually, there's not much to this, but look at it on a whole, and evey tiem I watch the game with Dan and a Slurpee the Pistons win the game.

And yes, I am feeling the pressure for the next series.

Broke

I broke my big toe playing ball on Tuesday night, this is the first bone I've broken, and it sucks. It means no ball for at least a month possibly longer. It means I get to wear a surgical boot a while. It also means I will probably play more XBOX and gain 100 lbs, all in all it should be an interesting start to the summer.

New Jonah

We cut Jonah's hair for the first time today, it was pretty a pretty traumatic time for his mom, who was pretty emotional throughout the whole ordeal. As the main bather of the kid, I was very happy that his crazy curly hair is no more. It was always knotted up and he didn't enjoy the cleaning process.

The real reason behind the haircut was that there was so much food left over from the Shalom Zachur, and we needed to get rid of it. So Nat and her friend decided this would be a good reason. He isn't three years old yet, but this is his third Lag Ba'omer, and no one should suffer througha hot summer playing outdoors with a crazy "Jew-fro"

I should be posting pictures either tomorrow or the next day.

I called it

Man, I wish I put my money where my mouth was. OK, not really my mouth, but in a Facebook NBA playoff bracket, I picked the Golden State Warriors (8th seed) to upset Dallas (1 seed) in 6 games, and with a little over 5 minutes left in the game, it appears that prediction will come true. Hopefully the rest of my bracket will pan out and the Pistons will beat the Phoenix Suns in 6 in the Finals.

His first Tigers game

This afternoon Nat, Jonah, Sammy and I went downtown to see the Tigers take on the Orioles. It was Sammy's first game, he had a great time - screamed for joy when Craig Monroe went yard, and was thrilled that Todd Jones didn't blow the game in the 9th.

I wonder what the record is for the youngest fan at a ball game. I figure at a few days past his two week birthday he has to be up there. This wasn't his venture out into the world, on his 6th day on earth he went to the Zoo for a few hours.
