What a Shabbos
Shabbat started out normally, it seemed like the highlight was I sat with a dictionary and read the newspaper on Friday night. Then Jonah woke up came into our room and said that there was water everywhere.
Israel was blessed with lots of rain this Shabbat, and it really wanted to come into my apartment. I spent a little over an hour fighting with the water, pushing it to the drain in the bathroom. Meanwhiel Jonah and Sammyreally wanted to help, so they played in the water, and did their best to help. Jonah was sad that we only have one large Squeege, and he thought he should have it instead of me.
The water was coming in from the porch, I checked teh drain and it there was nothing in it that I could see. The blockage must have been somewhere else.
I got it cleaned, and the rain had stopped so I went to shul. I knew that if it rained again we would have more issues, since the porch was still backed up.
About an hour or so after I got to shul it started to pour, I ran home and shortly after water started pouring in again. Another hour of squeeging, plus this time I started to bail out the porch and it was time for lunch.
Thankfully, there was no more flooding, which is good because we were running out towels, and patience. Plus our kids dumped all their toys on the floor, and spilled multiple cups of on the floors, and I don't think I coudl handle any more clean-up
I need a vacation
