Ballpark ettiquette

Last night I taught Jonah that it;s OK to throw peanut shells on the floor at a baseball game. He loved this game and didn't mind that he wasn't allowed to eat the peanuts, he just wanted shells. Nat then brought up the question, is it only peanut shells or can you throw napkins plastic bottles and other trash on the floor as well? I didn't think it was such an issue, whats the difference between peanut shells and other trash? Nat didn't agree, she wasn't sure why, but she had no problem tossing peanut shells, but would have issue with other garbage.

My understanding is that you can throw on the floor anything that the workers can easily sweep or pick up and/or won't spill on someone else.

My understanding is that you can and should throw anything at all on the floor. This is based on the fact that in one stadium (maybe wrigley, I can't remember) the cups said Please Crush on them. Clearly, that meant putting it on the floor and crushing it and leaving it there.

Aviva believes that you should not throw anything, including peanut shells on the floor of a stadium.

But Aviva is wrong.

She has tried to pass this knowledge on to her children. But they are my children too. And I have saved them.
