Interesting E.R. discussion

in the E.R. there is a pain chart, so the kids can tell someone how much pain they are in. According this chart a level 10 pain is where it hurts a lot, but you don't need to be crying.

I disagreed with this chart...I believe a level 10 pain is going through a wood chipper while still conscious, and if that happens you should be crying I think the most pain I've been in was when I was having my root canal and the Oral surgeon didn't realize that he was dealing with a live nerve. I decided that was a 6.

My former EMT wife said that on an ambulance a 6 isn't that bad. I think they should change their pain structure.
