Parking
For those who don't know, I live in an area where you are allowed to park your car in most case for free. Businesses have parking lots, house have driveways and there isn't a parking meter to be found.
I mention this because last night I had to go to Ann Arbor for a few hours, and I realized when I got there that I had no change, and therefore nowhere to park. The parking structures in the area didn't take credit cards, so I went looking for an ATM. I finally found the ATM and discovered that I didn't have my card with me.
Then I remembered that I have a cousin who goes to U-M, and I called him and asked to bail me out and hook me up with five bucks. Lucky for me he answered his phone and got me some much needed cash.
The whole idea of paying to leave your car on the street bothers me, at least in a garage, there is a guard and a card you need to leave...What protection do I get from a meter that they can charge me????

If people didnt have to pay they would never move their cars and you wouldn't be able to park.
not really, you've only had a license for a ahprt time now, but people have cars so they can drive places. not to look pretty in the street.
Hey, don't you think the city should be able to make some extra money??? Parking is a privilege, not a right. Such crap.
