Jewish ???? Community Center
On my way to daven on Yom Kippur I passed by the JCC and I noticed a sign on the front door
"Co-ed swimming all day today"
If the center can't shut down the operations on Yom kippur, it might be time to take away the Jewish part, and just call it what it is...a Community Center

that's really weird that the oak park jcc was open b/c the west bloomfield one was closed all day. that's really strange...
My guess is that the Oak Park facility was open while the West Bloomfield one was closed because the relative percentage of non-Jewish members. When a local gym closed last year, the JCC had some deal to honor that place's membership rolls and therefore has a sizeable Gentile membership. I'm not saying that I agree with it being open. I'm just giving my speculation why it was the only one open.
Co-ed swimming was a way of saying there would be no observant Jews swimming that day (duh).
But to the JCC's defense, they had the automatic doors propped open on Yom Kippur, so that the people coming to services wouldn't trigger them open.
