The Dishwasher

She has sat there patiently for nearly two and half years, sadly watching as I did her job. She wondered, why won't they trust me to clean the dishes, I'm kosher, I work, if only they would let me help, life would be so much easier for them.

Despite her good intentions she was pretty much ignored, she spoke to her agent and wanted to be traded to a house that would use her talents, not waste them- by making her store extra things. Don't worry she was told, one day they'll make the call and you'll get show your talents.

Last night she received the call, it was time to shine, for some unknown reason the manager had decided that dishwasher would get a chance to strut her stuff.

She cleaned about as well can be expected after a long layoff, cleaning probably 80% of the dishes. She said if they knew how to use her properly she would have done a better job. Obviously the owners are clueless, they don't even own her special juice, needed to borrow it from teh neighbors. The owners have promised to learn how to utilize her talents, but her the juice she needed to run, and use her more frequently. But she must perform or be sent down to the basement, where appliances and extra furniture go to live out their remaining days.
