My name

IS my name that hard to pronounce and understand. For those whodont know me its Shauli (pronounced shoe-lee, or ryhmes with Julie) anyway seems like everytime I recieve a callback from soemone who IO left a message for (work related) they cant even begin to pronounce my name. I know what you're thinking, that I speak to fast or slur my speech. but I don't, i say my name slow, and i REPEAT IT!! if this keeps up I just may have to chnage my name..any good ideas?

Most people with use an "American" sounding one sylabal name. You could go by Shaul (pronaunced shawl) or, just deal with the Shoooleee

You could go by Saul or Mo. Zack is a good one but what if they ask for your last name. Zack Zacks? Or you could be Zack Shauli. People seem to have an easier time with weird last names. Maybe they will think you are Asian. Zack Shoo Lee.

As you should. How about if they can't pronounce your name, just tell them to call you Superman? No? Then, just S or S-man. I've had plenty of problems with people mispronouncing my name in the States. I just keep repeating the correction. If they can't get it right, I say that I'm sorry the person they're looking for isn't home or doesn't live here and to call back later. Caller ID is a wonderful thing.
