Drivers License

If one were to get caught speeding and he/she forgot to bring his license, what would happen?

I don't think it would be a big deal, probably have a few days to present your license. Nat thinks it's a bigger deal than that.

It depends on the state, most consider it a misdemeanor. Penalties vary from probation, fine up to $500 or $1000, up to 6 months in jail, etc. I agree with your wife though - I was always told to make sure to ALWAYS have your license, I don't drive without it.

1. MI state would have jursidiction over something like this
2. google it, or go to www.findlaw.com to find out what would happen.

i think they could taser you - you know, stun gun. especially in LA if you're black. don't drive in LA when you're black and you don't have a license. they'll take you down, and then it'll be on youtube

When I got pulled over in Troy and did not have a license, they said I had a few days (I think it was 3) to bring in my license to the police station, and when I brought it in, they tossed out the ticket. I don't believe there was any fine for that.
